Our family went to Missouri for New Year's so that we could go to my nephew's baptism. It was so great to be there to see Josh make the decision to be baptized, and to spend time as a family. We missed you, Chris, Kira, and Ella! It was great to be able to Skype you so that it felt like you were there, even though that word still sounds weird. :)
Here are pictures of the sweet kids (click on all of the collages to make them bigger):
And here are some silly pictures. :)
We had a "hair salon night" one of the nights we were there. All of the little girls got pig tails and loved them. Josh was not to be left out, as you will see...
Here are pictures from the main reason for gathering--Josh's baptism. Little Gretchen is a girl after my own heart, LOVING chocolate. There's one picture of her lovin' some chocolate cookie! They're actually chocolate chip cup cookies, with a peanut butter cup inside. And they are TO.DIE.FOR. If you haven't had one, you should.
It was so great to be there for this special event. Even with the illness that would have kept us there forever by preventing us from traveling. We got home a date late because of the investation, and some of us are still struggling with it. But as my sister phrased it, that's the stuff legends are made of. And without those "legends," life would be a lot less interesting! :)
Happy New Year everyone! Josh, we all love you and are so proud of your decision to be baptized and to live righteously every day!

Looks awesome! Love the picture collages (sp?) So sorry that everyone got so sick though....but it still looks like a great time!
What would one of our family trip's be without drama! Love the pics - load them to Shutterfly or you are toast!
Those family pictures were awesome! What a nice get- together you must have had. And, for such a special event.
Thanks for sharing!
What a fun holiday! And um, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you posted a recipe for the chocolate chip peanut butter cup cookies. :)
Have you noticed how neglected your blog is feeling lately? I mean, changing the background is definitely a start, but seriously...
Love ya!
